           ROLE DESCRIPTION:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           This is a full-time hybrid role for an urban planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks, including:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Assisting with the preparation of the full suite of land use planning applications (OPA, ZBA, SPA, MV etc.)
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Drafting of due diligence planning reviews and development feasibility studies
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Conducting analysis of land use planning policy in support of development applications and due diligence reviews
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Developing presentation materials for and/or attending meetings (public, community consultation, committee, council etc.) and hearings (Ontario Land Tribunal, Toronto Local Appeal Body)

      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           QUALIFICATIONS:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;

            Recognized degree in urban and regional planning
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Strong understanding of the land use planning process and Provincial planning legislation
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Exceptional organizational and project management skills
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;

            Great analytical and problem-solving skills
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

            Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills
           &#xD;

           We were proud to attend the official ground-breaking ceremony for the new China City retail shopping centre currently being built at 2150 McNicol Road in Toronto.  Johnston Litavski Ltd. was responsible for successfully securing all required planning approvals for this new 9,600m2 (103,500 sq.ft.) shopping plaza consisting of an approximately 5,900m2 (63,500 sq.ft) stand-alone asian supermarket and an adjacent 3,700m2 (40,000 sq.ft.) 42-unit retail building.  Occupancy is expected in mid 2020.

           We’re proud and excited to announce a new chapter in the life of Johnston Litavski! Our office has relocated to historic and picturesque Downtown Oakville. We have a new local phone number but have retained our previous phone numbers and emails, so you'll be able to reach us as you always have.  As the weather warms up, we'll be enjoying our view of beautiful Lakeshore Road.

            For over 35 years, first as Kentridge Johnston then as Johnston Litavski, we've built a great portfolio of work and clients throughout the Greater Golden Horseshoe and beyond. We're now looking forward to a bright future in Oakville.
